Pop of color

If you are going out one evening and don't want to do the typical all black evening look, do a pop of color.  It can be your pants,or top,or if you are wearing all black,you carry a clutch that is a pop of color.

The fall weather may bring some cool days or evenings.  Try a poncho instead of a jacket, they are so comfortable and you can layer your clothes underneath to go with the temperature outside.  If you get to warm they are light weight to take off and carry too.

Animal Prints

Animal prints are fun and a little daring.  Just keep in mind to just wear one piece at a time or you might end up looking like "Jane" of the jungle.  You can just carry a clutch or wear a piece of jewelry that is animal print inspired too.  You can incorporate a throw pillow or throw into your decor too.

Hair Trends to Watch

Hair trends to watch:  your ponytail (think low and wide), braid your braid (different  directions), slick your part and tie a knot (keep tight). And perhaps the most exciting trend spotted ?  Hair accessories inspired by everything from flirty flowers to sporty bands to  headpieces, so don't be afraid to just slip something on and make a statement!

Photos onto canvas

In a few easy steps and with a few items you can transfer any picture onto a canvas.  The items you will need are as follow: (canvas (I prefer 5x7 & 8x10) a brush (to apply gel medium) gel medium (Liquitex is what I use)spray bottle (water) and Laser print out any photo you choose onto paper.

Completely cover canvas with gel medium. Use a heavy coat.

Press the photo copy(image side down) onto the canvas and let dry for several hours or overnight.

(image will print reversed)

After your image is completely dry, use the spray bottle to wet the top of the paper.  Rub the paper with your finger until pieces of the paper start to come off and your image will be revealed.  This can take some patience and be a little messy.  (Don't rub too hard or you can remove your transfer).

Continue until all the paper is removed and the image is visible.  Cover your canvas with one more coat of the medium to seal and protect.

Knitted head wraps

The colder days are just around the corner, so why not try a knitted head wrap instead of a hat.  They keep you warm and can be so stylish too..Some of them have some embellishments,feathers,etc to give them just the right amount of flair.

Mix Styles

I encourage everyone to try and mix some of your styles together.  Lace top with a studded clutch or an elegant lace top with a hat.  Don't be shy give it a try..you might be shocked at how great two things look together that you never thought of putting together..

Jewel tone (emerald) for the fall

The rich emerald jewel tone that is out this season is gorgeous.  It is definitely an eye catching color that is sure to get you noticed.  You can pair it with so many colors and it will look fabulous.  Blouse,pants,handbag,belt, this color will be a nice addition to your wardrobe.

Shopping with a friend is always better...a friend opens you up to new styles and helps you find that perfect item that you would've never picked out on your own.

He prefers to spend his time like this rather than shopping!

Multi string of Pearls

When I wear a multi string of pearls it makes me feel so glamourous.  If you don't have a multi string then actually wear several necklaces to give the look.  I was able to find one that even had some metal added to give it a glamourous with an edge look.
