Painted Furniture

I took an old cabinet..removed the doors..lightly sanded..painted a neutral color paint. I then removed the piece of wood from the back and covered in a fabric that I purchased(decided on animal kingdom couture) stapled the fabric to the board and then reattached to the cabinet..I then did two coats of poly to seal the piece of furniture..I love how it turned out!   I even displayed some of my DIY mercury glass items that I did earlier with the Looking Glass Spray Paint.
My bully was watching the whole time!

and taped and painted a few drawers on the dresser a soft shade of paint..The plain dresser went from boring to modern chic:)

Looking glass spray

I purchased a can of Looking glass spray paint (walmart) I then took some plain glass vases and dishes and spritz them with water(just a little) then spray the looking glass spray paint and you have created mercury glass...you can spray clear christmas balls and make them look like antique glass ornaments or on the back of glass and create a mirror effect. The key to get the antique mercury glass look is to spritz with the water and then spray with paint...

Paper pom-pom flowers

I decided to make paper pom-pom flowers to decorate my Grand mom's 88th birthday party.  I purchased tissue paper in the colors that I wanted to use (party stores or Walmart) had the best selection.      I used four sheets of paper and began to fold them back and forth just like making a paper fan, you then need to fasten in the center (I used a bag tie) and then clip both ends of tissue paper using a pointed or round shape(this is the part that gives each flower it's unique shape) then start to peel each sheet apart and pull towards the center and voila' you have beautiful flowers.
